The SYC Pride Fire is building a Premier Level Team
Tryouts Announced:
JUNE 2nd OPEN TRYOUTS – rising u15g (born on/after 8/1/97) – Together since age 8, the Pride teams seek to augment their already solid rosters with dedicated players. Offering a comprehensive year-round player development program for those seeking a highly competitive travel experience in preparation for High School and College. Coached by 2-time DAC Coach of the Year Stu Pierson (NSCAA AdvNatl, USSF C). Open tryouts will be held Saturday, June 2 (arrive by 3:30) from 4-7 pm at West Springfield High School Turf Stadium in Springfield. To register for tryouts, please email age group contact bw ... @pcrm.org with player’s name, birth date, parent’s cell, and 1 sentence describing playing experience as well as level sought.
The SYC Pride Fire is a WAGS D5 team.
Fire's planned 2012 Tournaments include:
- VA Rush Cup on the Coast
SEMIFINALISTS, March 2012
- The Virginian (May 26 - 28)
CHAMPIONS IN 2011
- August Cup (August 24-26)
- Fall Classic (November 10 & 11)

Fire's Head Coach is 2-time DAC Coach of the Year Stu Pierson (NSCAA AdvNatl, USSF C) whose philosophy of “value every player” is reflected throughout the training staff as well as the 3 other teams in the age group. SYC Pride Fire is a group of top athletes focused on competing on the soccer pitch, not only for the opportunity to win, but also for the sheer joy of playing quality, attractive soccer together. Many of the Fire's players are multiple-sport athletes, who have chosen to make soccer their primary focus, while maintaining their other interests as well.
